Sheru the Tiger FAQs
When will I receive my Sheru order?
This is the first releaase of the upgraded Sheru, so all orders are currently on pre-order.
We will be shipping Sheru to you in July and will keep you posted along the way.
What age is Sheru suitable for?
Sheru is designed for ages 2–6, the window when language is absorbed most naturally.
Younger children will love exploring the bright colours of the cards, listening to the words and fun sound effects.
Older children start understanding and repeating the words confidently and can use the Game Mode to make it more interactive.
Can my child use this independently?
Yes, Sheru is designed for independent play. Children can insert a card, hear the word, and repeat it on their own.
There is an optional Game Mode feature which can be a fun bonding activity, where you can play and learn together.
Does my child need to already understand the language?
Not at all. Most children start with little to no understanding. Sheru introduces words through play and repetition, so they pick it up naturally over time.
Which languages is Sheru available in?
Sheru is currently available in three languages — Gujarati (green), Hindi (yellow) and Punjabi (orange).
Each comes with 115 double-sided flashcards covering 230 words across 10 categories.
What is your returns policy?
We offer an extended 60 day money back guarantee as we’re confident you love Sheru. But if any issues arise, just get in contact, we're always on hand to help!
Parent journals FAQs
What's inside the journal?
- Over 200 thoughtful prompts designed for parents from an Indian and East African background
- Sections covering family tree, childhood, career, migration journey, traditions, values, life lessons and more
- Sufficient line spacing to share personal stories, memories , photos and reflections
- Includes nostalgic images from their days and activities they would reminisce on
Who is the journal for?
It's a gift you give your parent or grandparent — they fill it in at their own pace, in their own time, in their own handwriting. It's for anyone who wants to capture their parent's story before life moves on. Especially meaningful for families born in India or East Africa.
Do both journals ask the same questions?
Largely yes. But each journal has sections written specifically for that parent — Mumma's includes motherhood and pregnancy, Papa's covers fatherhood.
Is the journal a good gift?
It's generally quite hard buying gifts for parents as they seem to never want anything so the journals are the kind of gift where parents feel genuinely valued when they receive it — like their story is worth keeping. Works for a birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Diwali or no occasion at all. Individual journals are £15.99. Both together are £27.99.
When will I receive my journal?
Journals are in stock and ship within 3-5 working days. Free UK shipping when purchasing the bundle.
